WELCOME TO ISSUE 3.

Phew! At long last, we are happy to announce the birth of PHEMME Issue 3. It's been a busy few months at PHEMME headquarters; most of us on the team are students, and we've been juggling plenty this summer as we evaluate submissions and maintain the website.

We've had to make some big decisions for the zine, some more difficult than others. Some of you may have heard that PHEMME is going fully digital for the foreseeable future. While we hope to produce print issues again some day, this choice will enable us to focus all of our resources on our real mission: publishing as many unheard voices as possible.

A more exciting news item: we are currently looking for an assistant editor (or two, or three.) This is an unpaid volunteer position and can be completed remotely; if you are interested in working with us, please send your resume and statement of interest to phemmezine@gmail.com (subject line should read "Assistant Editor.") Exact duties TBA, but expect some light editorial work, social media management, and general good times. We would love to have you on the team.

We hope you enjoy Issue 3 as much as we do. Like always, we've prioritized works by women, femmes, BIPOC, queer people, and genderqueer people. Walk in, look around, and tell us what you think. We think you'll like what you find.
